Superb printing performance and exceptional mobility
With its latest digital photo printer, CAMEDIA P-200, Olympus has developed a very user-friendly printing innovation that is not just suited to stationary use, but actually enables mobile operation too. Thanks to the optional rechargeable battery pack, outstanding flexibility is assured: When at trade fairs and outdoor photo shootings, for example, up to 25 photo-realistic 12.6 x 8 cm prints can be produced immediately following capture. Moreover, despite its sensational 320 dpi dye-sublimation resolution, this model still displays remarkable speed - completing the first print within about 90 seconds. Incredibly versatile, the P-200 also features DCF/DPOF compatibility as well as two card slots - one for SmartMedia and one for CompactFlash (Type II) - making it the perfect solution for a diverse range of professional and private applications.
With the rapid development of Digital Imaging, the call for highly-mobile and flexible printing solutions became ever more pressing. Now, with the CAMEDIA P-200, Olympus, the opto-digital specialist, has succeeded in creating a mains power- and computer-independent printing solution that shines with fantastic results.
Measuring just 121 (w) x 52 (h) x 153 (d) mm, and weighing only 830 g (without battery pack and paper cassette), the P-200 is certainly very easy to handle. Yet, with a 320 dpi dye-sublimation printing resolution, the resulting picture quality equals that of larger, stationary models. Above all, the photo-realistic prints really impress with their continuous colour tones. Finally, to protect these precious images from finger prints and dust, the printer laminates each one automatically.
The innovative model is also characterised by astonishing processing speeds - even high resolution shots require only 90 seconds for a postcard sized print! In addition to approximately 12.6 x 8 cm sized photos, either four, nine or sixteen shots and even index prints with up to 40 images can be printed.
This model offers numerous adjustable functions and special features. For example, picture sharpness can be altered and the current date printed with the photo.
Both DCF (Design Rule for Camera File System) and DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) support are included. This facilitates the printing process, enabling the P-200 to automatically read and carry out processing instructions saved with the images. For example, the desired photo number and amount of copies, or a particular section of the image (trimming) may be read and processed with ease.
Of course, printing with a PC is also possible. The selected image files can be safely transferred to the printer via a parallel interface.
For those times when no connection to the mains supply is possible, the printer can be powered by a rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack. The necessary charger is already integrated in the P-200. The battery pack itself, as well as a special carrying case are optionally available.
