The new CAMEDIA Master Software from Olympus
As the use of digital cameras, emails and the internet continues to soar, the number of digital photos, graphics, animations and short videos increases exponentially. With its new CAMEDIA Master Software, Olympus presents a PC and Mac-compatible program for processing, editing, organising and archiving digital still and video images that's both versatile and easy-to-use. In addition to the Standard version, Olympus has also created a Pro version for the more experienced user. This includes a number of fascinating options. For example, it allows the production - with little effort - of exciting movie presentations containing sound effects and music (in the MP3 format). It also enables those without any programming knowledge to set up an online photo gallery by forming HTML photo albums.
It is not just the wide range of functions of the Olympus CAMEDIA Master 4 and CAMEDIA Master Pro software that are impressive. Their very user-friendly graphical interface is also appealing. With bright, colourful icons, it ensures intuitive operation. Five main functions are available: · Get · Browse · Print · Create & Share Images. · Back-Up With the Get function the user can download photos directly from the camera or the computer hard drive. Browse offers numerous image editing options. The CAMEDIA Master Software shows thumbnail images of the pictures in a folder so that the desired shot can easily be found. The size and layout of the thumbnails may also be adjusted. Even users with no previous experience are able to quickly optimise and edit their digital photos with creative effect. Image sharpness, contrast, colour balance and saturation are all adjustable with the software. Trimming is also possible, allowing sections of a photo to be blown up or reduced in size. CAMEDIA Master 4 also lets the user rotate individual images or add text. The integrated templates in the Print function permit the creation of individualised photo albums, calendars and postcards. Here, the software offers a number of printing modes where the printing area and template size may be adjusted or the number of pictures per page altered. Index sheets containing up to 144 photos are also possible. The Create & Share Images function of this fascinating multimedia software offers many creative options. Besides the Wallpaper function, the Standard version also includes an Auto-Panorama function. When several shots are required to capture a subject in its full glory, the software automatically joins the images together to form a singe scene - there's no need to gather the individual frames and join each individually. Back-up enables easy management, organisation and archiving of the files (Pro version only). With the help of the CAMEDIA Master Pro upgrade, it is easy to create impressive multimedia presentations from digital photos. Image selection and placement is easy thanks to "Drag & drop" functionality. The software also supports the MP3 file format so that soundtracks can be added to the slide-show presentations for a real multimedia experience. The files can even be saved as movies. The Standard version will soon be delivered with all Olympus digital cameras. Those who already own CAMEDIA Master 4 can purchase an upgrade to CAMEDIA Master Pro from the Olympus E-Shop. Paying with a credit card is quick and secure. The user is sent an access code via email with which they are able to activate the Pro version's capabilities. CAMEDIA Master Pro will also be available from retailers.
