The philosophy of my photographs:
Beside poetic settings, I look for nativeness and authenticity.


My motivation:
With my pictures I want to arouse an interest and a reaction in the people who see them.

   

Sehnaz Seker was born in Turkey in 1976. At the age of eleven she moved to Germany and has been a mover between cultures ever since. Already during her design studies with a major in photography and film she spent long periods abroad, taking in influences at film and photo schools in Cape Town and Melbourne.  Her thesis work is titled “A Portrait of Yesterday and Today”, a documentary in Turkey.  The main focus of Sehnaz Seker’s work is in documentary, people, nature and travel photography.

Since 2002, she has had numerous exhibitions in Bielefeld, Halle/Westfalen, Paderborn and Hamburg.  Among her clients are the Greenpeace magazine, Spiegel, Stern and Welt am Sonntag.
