Olympus E-3: “European Advanced Camera 2008-2009”

The EISA jury was not left wanting for arguments to justify conferring the best “European Advanced Camera 2008-2009” Award on the Olympus E-3. They were clearly enthused about the Olympus flagship D-SLR: “It provides very effective image stabilisation, dust removal and a Live View function on the articulated LCD screen, but most importantly, its image quality and ease of use are very impressive”, said EISA, who also praised the camera’s robust build and splashproof qualities. The jury summed up by saying: “The Olympus E-3 is perfectly suited for professional demands”.

EISA (European Imaging & Sound Association) is comprised of around 50 prominent magazines in the areas of audio, video, home theatre, mobile electronics and photography from 20 European countries. Each year it honours the best newly-released products in recognition of their features, quality and general appeal to users.

Gold DIWA Award

“Excellent handling and ergonomics, high image quality, and compatibility to the outstanding range of powerful, yet compact range of ZUIKO DIGITAL lenses, have been highly appreciated in numerous DIWA tests, qualifying the Olympus E-3 for a DIWA Gold Award.”

The Digital Imaging Websites Association, DIWA, is a prestigious association comprised of a pool of independent web-based specialist publications from across Europe.
