	Digital Camera Buyer: Editor's choice Digital Camera Buyer has awarded the E-420 the Editor's Choice award following its head-to-head test with the Sony Alpha A200. The camera received 4 out of 5 stars and the verdict was 'The size of this DSLR isn't an excuse to skimp on features. The excellent Live View system with AF capability is a real plus'. 	Camera Labs.com - Highly recommended Cameralabs.com awarded the E-420 a respectable overall score of 85% and their highly recommended logo. The verdict was that "with the E-420 and pancake lens, Olympus has created a DSLR kit which will appeal to a broad group of buyers: those upgrading from a point and shoot, those who leave a D-SLR at home because it's too big or heavy, and those who want a smaller, lighter backup body to a higher-end model. We were already very fond of its predecessor, so with the new enhancements and the introduction of the 25mm pancake, the E-420 has become better still'.

	Digital Camera magazine - Editor's choice Digital Camera magazine has given the E-420 a 90% overall score noting that 'in terms of value, usability and sheer fun, the E-420 is hard to beat as an entry-level DSLR, but when it comes to performance, they "were impressed by the colours and the accuracy of both the auto white balance and metering". 	Digital Photgrapher magazine: Editor's choice The June issue of Digital Photographer magazine has pitched the Olympus E-420 against the Fujifilm Finepix S100FS. This is Fuji's brand new bridge camera, but after a series of in-depth tests, the E-420 came out tops and was awarded the Digital Photographer Editor's Choice award with an overall score of 9/10. The verdict was: 'Olympus delivers a knock-out blow pretty much from the first round ...The bridge option is looking less attractive as brilliant little cameras like the E-420 deliver a lot more for the same money...Incredibly, the E-420 is 370g lighter than the Fujifilm. This includes lens fitted, battery and card inserted...Both cameras can shoot wide-angle but the results from the E-420 were clearly better.' 'The E-420 is a logical evolution from the E-410, and continues to worry the big guns with its no-nonsense approach to pin-sharp images from a very rounded system...The Olympus has considerable size/weight/performance advantage and in many ways is the epitome of the perfect travel camera.
