Born in Prague and raised in Germany, Jan Deichner spent his early adulthood travelling the world. Today, the professional photographer calls Hamburg home, where he continues to work and write down the things he’s unable to capture with a camera. Experienced in the fields of portrait and architecture, as well as nature and reportage photography, Deichner took the Olympus E-3 for a test run – and let the images speak for themselves.

After growing up on the quiet streets of Freiburg, Deichner was looking for an adventure – so he set out to see the world.  What resulted was a professional photographer of multiple facets: people, portraits, reportage and architecture are only some of his specialties. Who better then to take the newest addition to the Olympus E-System, the E-3, to the limit and back?

“What I like most about the E-3 is the fact that it’s a great all-rounder. It can be used to meet all the professional challenges that face me everyday as I photograph architecture, people and news stories”, Deichner says. “It’s fast, reliable and quiet – three very important features for me that make the E-3 a really excellent piece of kit. When it comes to picture quality, the E-3 actually exceeds my highest expectations.”
