This ultra compact lens was announced in March 2008 and in combination with the E-420 it is part of one of the most compact D-SLR Kits. "The word 'Pancake' in the lens's title offers a clue to its most striking physical characteristic (...) and is also a rare example of a truly 'designed for digital' standard prime".
