Code of Ethics

Ethical conduct is crucial to the success of our business. The fact that Olympus enjoys such an excellent reputation all over the world today is to a large degree due to the fair and honest actions of our employees. We will only continue to prosper in the future by adhering to our own ethical standards as well as national and international laws.

With the introduction of the Code of Ethics & Business Conduct, Olympus Europe has created an infrastructure that enables employees to obtain advice or confidentially report infringements of Olympus’ ethical principles.

Points of Contact

Several contact persons are available to you should you wish to discuss or report any point or question whatsoever in relation to violations, content changes or interpretations of our Code.

Supervisor - the normal reporting line
Your first Point of Contact (PoC) for questions relating to the Code, or for reporting violations, is your own supervisor.

Corporate Governance
Corporate Governance is an alternative PoC for reporting violations, where direct reporting to the supervisor is not desired. Naturally, questions and complaints will be treated in the strictest confidence if requested. Corporate Governance also has overall responsibility for the implementation and development of our Code. In this respect they are your PoC for proposals for improvement and complaints. Corporate Governance is ready to assist supervisors with the legal and practical application of the Code. All enquiries may also be submitted by e-mail in the respective national language. CorporateCompliance[at]Olympus-Europa.com

Anonymous Point of Contact – ombudsman

The ombudsman is an external lawyer and due to the professional conduct, is obligated to exercise discretion. Therefore, when contacting the ombudsman, anonymity is ensured. Your name or any facts which may identify you individually will only be communicated to Olympus (or anybody else) with your explicit consent.
