The OSR test menu offers a wide range of applications including general chemistries, TDMs, DAUs, specific proteins and esoterics. Olympus System Reagents are barcoded, liquid stable and ready to use. They are configured in 15, 30, 60 and 120 ml bottles, offering suitable kit sizes for all workloads thus eliminating wastage.  On board stability is 30-60 days for most of the analytes.

The AU640 is a random access analyser with a throughput of 1200 tests/hour (inclusive of ISE’s).  Its capacity to hold 150 samples and up to 51 online chemistries at any one time offers an excellent walkaway capability. Urgent samples can be processed on the dedicated STAT rotor, which can also hold calibration and control materials under cooled conditions so allowing operators to take advantage of the automated calibration and control feature.

Outstanding system reliability and safety is achieved via a number of features including automated sample check for lipemia, hemolysis and icterus, state of the art washing stations, and clot detection and crash prevention technology.  In addition, the Olympus Spot Photometry System with digitised data transfer via fibre optics eliminate any electromagnetic interference.

150 µl minimum total reaction volume of the Olympus AU640 along with sample volumes down to 2ul demonstrate the combination of first class technology with cost and sample material efficiency.

As with all AU systems the AU640 uses a common interface designed to minimise training requirements for laboratories with multiple AU systems.  In addition, customers can set up a user defined drop down menu designed meet local requirements.
