The AU3000i is a high throughput immunoassay analyser bringing Olympus design and convenience to optimise immunoassay workflow in high volume laboratories.

The random access system uses state of the art para-magnetic micro particle technology as the solid phase and measures analyte concentration with highly sensitive chemiluminescence detection.

Proven Olympus system technology guarantees a throughput of 240 tests per hour whatever the mix of one and two-step assays. Sample volume is from 10 to 100 µl depending on analyte.

The AU3000i uses the existing flexible Olympus racks and the same well established AU family software as used in Olympus Clinical Chemistry systems. Based on Windows® 2000, the intuitive software guides the user with pull down menus and context related help functions. This not only reduces training requirements but significantly improves staff efficiency.

Routine sample processing can be interrupted for STAT samples at any time thus minimising turnaround time even during peak workload.

The sample handling system uses disposable tips to minimise carryover. Clot and level detection systems together with crash prevention ensure that sample integrity is guaranteed.

Plug and play reagents with a two dimensional barcode ensure safety, easy handling and economy of use. The kits contain not only the reagents but also all necessary calibrators and controls.

Up to 24 liquid, ready to use reagents can be loaded in two different reagent carousels. Multiple vials can be run to offer maximum flexibility in daily routine testing. Walk away time is further increased by fully automated sample processing capabilities such as pre-treatment, pre-dilution, rerun and reflex testing. Cuvettes and sample tips can be reloaded without interrupting the analysis.

Assay performance is guaranteed to Olympus standards with excellent precision, broad dynamic ranges and superior sensitivity. Test panels currently under development include Thyroid, Fertility, Tumour- and Cardiac markers. Allergy and Anaemia testing will complete the Olympus test menu.
