The Olympus CX21LED features an LED with an expected lifetime of over 20,000 hours, eliminating the need for frequent halogen lamp replacements. This cost-effective method of sample illumination consumes much less energy than halogen lamps.

Stable colour temperature at any illumination intensity
As well as providing uniform and stable light intensity, the brightness of the LED can be changed without affecting the colour temperature. This, in addition with the incorporation of the Olympus plan corrected UIS2 objectives ensures that clear images are obtained with a stable colour balance at any brightness level.

Anti-fungus treated optics
An effective anti-fungus treatment is applied to the objectives, eyepieces and observation tube for consistent image clarity and long operation life even in hot humid work conditions.

Plan objectives for optimal flatness of field
The new CX21 is the first educational microscope that incorporates the same advanced UIS2 optics as Olympus’ top-of-the-range microscopes. The infinity corrected Plan Achromat objectives give sharp high contrast images with excellent flatness throughout the field of view.
