The FV10i system concept The FV10i has been designed as a confocal imaging platform for standard applications, like high resolution morphological or live-cell time-lapse imaging. With its easy-to-use concept for z-stack, time-lapse and multi-area time-lapse imaging it is the ideal equipment to get started with confocal imaging or to take off workload of high-end confocal microscopes. All necessary components like motorised stage, antivibration platform, incubator, automatic water supply are contained within the main body. These features in combination with the smallest LSM footprint make the FV10i very independent - it can even be kept on a mobile trolley, to be used wheresoever (no need for a dark room).
Two models are available: * FV10i-O - high resolution imaging with oil immersion objective * FV10i-W - live cell & time lapse imaging with water immersion objective |

FV10i software concept SET, SELECT, CAPTURE: With these three steps the software of the FV10i ensures an easy-to-use workflow and high-quality confocal images. After placing the sample, the user is released from the pain of - finding the focus (Auto-Focus) - optimizing the objective performance (automized correction collar and automatic water supply for the water immersion objective) - searching the sample by eye for the right area (Overview/Map Image) and - adjusting laser and detectors (Auto-Exposure). Additionally, the software has a "Navigator", which guides inexperienced users step by step through the imaging procedure, thus minimizing the necessary amount of training. |

FV10i spectral detection system A newly designed spectral detector system with two PMTs automatically optimises the detection bandwidth for a broad variety of fluophores. The system can detect fluorescence emission in the range from 400nm to 800nm. By the use of virtual channels, the FV10i can detect up to four different fluophores in one sample. |

FV10i motorized stage A high-precision X,Y stage gives the system excellent accuracy and repeatability, and can handle standard slides as well 35mm petri dishes. The control of the motorized stage is fully integrated into the imaging workflow, allowing multi-area time-lapse experiments over several hours. |

FV10i-W with integrated incubator For live-cell time-lapse experiments the FV10i-W is equipped with an integrated incubator to ensure a constant sample temperature, a certain humidity and a stable CO2 level. Additionally an incubation pot can be mounted to allow perfusion of reagents for triggering cellular responses. Available only with FV10i-W. |
