Key FeaturesSpecificationsApplications

Arc lamp fluorescence observation
The TIRFM illuminator also accepts a fluorescence lightsource, allowing both evanescent wave and standard widefield fluorescence illumination.
Convenient adjustment of the laser beam
After initial alignment of the single mode fiber to the laser head and TIRFM illuminator, a simple micrometer adjustment  is all that is required to change the incident angle of the laser beam thereby switching between TIRFM and widefield illumination.
Laser safety
The laser is introduced directly into the microscope via a single mode optical fiber. Safety interlocks prevent emission of laser lightfrom the microscope and injuries caused by laser light accidentally viewed through the eyepieces.
Selection of TIRFM objectives
Drawing on its long-standing advanced development experience of objectives, Olympus has just introduced the UIS2 series of objectives of unmatched quality and performance. Now researchers can choose between four different objectives specifically dedicated to TIRFM.
