Working at Olympus
Developing innovative medical technology and digital cameras as well as solutions for science and industry, Olympus is a leading international producer of optical and digital precision technologies. Our stated passion is to use our prize-winning, high-tech products to make life healthier, safer and more fulfilling for people around the world. Our group head office is in Tokyo, and the regional headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa is based in Hamburg. In Europe alone, Olympus has a presence in about 30 countries.
Our benefits for employees
Performance-related pay is a matter of course for us, as are comprehensive social benefits such as a modular company pension scheme, contributions to capital formation and regular health care campaigns.
All employees can take advantage of the on-site Day Nursery which is a purpose-built facility that can accommodate up to 59 children. The Day Nursery is open five days a week from 7.45am to 6.00pm and provides high-quality care at subsidised rates. The Day Nursery provides an excellent environment which follows a structure of learning, development and care for children from birth to five years old – this is called the Early Years Foundation Stage and enables children to learn through a range of activities.
Olympus provides all staff with the opportunity to participate in a Childcare Voucher Scheme.
Our employer awards
Extensive further training options, international networks and high quality standards have contributed to Olympus being certified as an employer by the Top Employer Institute for many years in the UK and Europe.
Grow with Olympus
Constant growth is important to us – not only in terms of our company, but also for your development. This is because we know that Olympus can only be successful if our employees are too. We want you to grow with us and to give you room for ideas, responsibility from an early stage, and help you expand your personal skills and professional knowledge in a systematic manner.
Work in a unique corporate culture
We have set out our fair, sincere, performance-related culture in our "Cultural Statement". As a fixed part of our corporate philosophy it is actively embodied by our employees.
Our culture is dominated by three principles:
- Our customers are the centre of our attention, allowing us to recognise and understand their needs and to be able to offer them the best products, services and solutions at all times.
- We respect, support and invest in our employees, through an open, respectful atmosphere and a clear commitment to diversity.
- We strive for operational excellence because we are open to change, continually set ourselves new challenges and use the latest technologies to support both customers and employees.
