Olympus Declaration of Consent (version 0.9)

I would like to receive marketing information concerning Olympus trainings, scientific research, products and services from Olympus Europa GmbH & Co. KG and its affiliated companies (together “Olympus”) via electronic message (e.g. email, push messages, short messages service), telephone or social media based on my personal interests in Olympus products and services.

Processing & use of my personal data
Olympus can provide the following marketing information and services to me:

Using my email address, title, name, surname, username, telephone number, country, language preference, date of birth: Send personalized news and marketing information to me via electronic message about Olympus events, Olympus product information, and Olympus services to the contact information stored in the Olympus database.
Using my primary telephone number, name, surname, username, date of birth: Provide me with personalized news and marketing information via telephone about Olympus events, Olympus product information, Olympus services to the contact information stored in the Olympus database
Using my email address, name, surname, company affiliation, date of birth: Create target groups for advertising purposes on LinkedIn, Facebook, other social media or in Google Ads that share my interests (e.g. ‘look-alike’ groups, list-based retargeting, custom audiences).
Using my postal address, title, name, surname, country, language preference, date of birth: Provide me with personalized news and marketing information via postal mail about Olympus events, Olympus product information, Olympus services to the contact information stored in the Olympus database.

Besides the possibility to indicate my interest in specific Olympus products and services (e.g. via a web form or at https://www.olympus-europa.com/company/en/contact/), Olympus will determine my personal interests in Olympus products and services by storing information about my visits on Olympus websites. This information may include viewed articles, downloaded documents or date and time of access (“Usage Data”) and will be stored in a personal user profile. In order to achieve that, Olympus may use cookies and technology that stores or accesses information from your device. This could include HTML5 local storage, local shared objects, fingerprinting techniques or web beacons. Olympus may also add information to my personal profile on whether and when I opened a marketing e-mail from Olympus.

Your data will be deleted from our systems when it is no longer needed for marketing purposes or in case you revoke your consent.

Data Transfer
Olympus Europa GmbH & Co. KG may transfer my data for the above-mentioned purposes to its affiliated companies.

Furthermore, my data may be transferred for sales purposes to Olympus’ customer relationship management systems. My data will then be processed on the basis of Olympus’ legitimate interest (Art. 6 I 1 f) GDPR) as described in our Data Privacy Note (https://www.olympus-europa.com/company/en/privacy-notice/).

The provider of Olympus’ marketing automation platform also has the technical ability to access my data.

Revocation and further information
I have the right to revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in e-mails I receive or by using our web contact form (https://www.olympus-europa.com/company/en/contact/) This process may take up to three weeks.

After revocation of my consent and three weeks later, at the latest, I will no longer receive marketing information and news from Olympus based on this consent.
