    End of Support of Olympus DSS Player Pro R5

    Since January 2016 the Olympus DSS Player Pro R5 is not supported by Olympus anymore.

    Hence, no further updates are being provided by Olympus. In case you experience any malfunctions with DSS Player Pro R5 with latest security and .NET framework updates we strongly recommend to upgrade your dictation system to OMDS R6 (Olympus Dictation Management System) software. ODMS R6 is the successor product and provides you the latest features (e.g. speech recognition support) and compatibility with latest operating sytems.

    DS-4000 End of Support

    The support for the Olympus DS-4000 ended in April 2013.

    What is end of support?
    There will be no more technical support, repairs or software updates provided by Olympus and its repair facilities for the DS-4000.

    What does this mean?
    It means that you should make use of the latest dictation hardware from Olympus, if you want to use the latest operating system on your computer. Olympus cannot guarantee secure operation with the DS-4000 and operating systems launched after April 2013. It is not recommended to use the DS-4000 with operating systems, which are not listed in the manual.

    A change in regulations that became effective on January 1st 2013 has meant that a small number of Olympus products are no longer in line with European legislation (RoHS directive) restricting the use of lead in electronic devices to protect the environment. There is no risk to health from these products.

    The following products acquired on or after January 1st 2013 are affected: Audio recorders: DM-650, DS-2500, DS-2800, DS-3400, DS-5000, LS-3 Cameras: TG-620, TG-820 and the flash FL-50R
