A change in regulations that became effective on January 1st 2013 has meant that a small number of Olympus products are no longer in line with European legislation (RoHS directive) restricting the use of lead in electronic devices to protect the environment. The following products acquired on or after January 1st 2013 are affected: Audio recorders: DM-650, DS-2500, DS-2800, DS-3400, DS-5000, LS-3 Cameras: TG-620, TG-820 and the flash FL-50R

Call for FL-300R - 7th of Sept. 2011
We discovered a quality issue with our flash FL-300R. In case you bought this new flash in the last weeks, please feel free to contact our Service Centre via 00800 - 67 10 83 00. Olympus will check and exchange this item. Units being sold from end of September 2011 are from the new production lot and are not affected. Customers who registered their product will be contacted directly.

To ensure you remain completely satisfied with your purchase, Olympus Imaging Europa GmbH is issuing some important information that may affect a small number of ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-60mm 1:2.8-4.0 SWD lens owners. While the manual focus performance of all lenses functions as specified, in some lenses the autofocus may not operate in the intended manner. This is the result of a fault during the manufacturing process of the autofocusing drive. The potential problem only concerns ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-60mm 1:2.8-4.0 SWD lenses with serial numbers ranging between: 230005416 and 230010688. You can find the serial number here: We recommend that you check whether your lens is among those potentially affected to ensure that it continues to provide 100% performance. Naturally, Olympus is offering a free-of-charge inspection and repair service. Should your lens be among those potentially affected, please directly contact the following Olympus Service Centre and send in the product to the local service centre of your country. Olympus Imaging is offering a complimentary service inspection for anyone still using one of the five listed camera models. Please contact one of our service stations shown on this website or send us your camera directly. The postage costs will be covered by Olympus. The background of this complimentary service is that in Asia and America it has been reported that in very seldom cases a specific part of the above mentioned cameras may overheat.Contact our support
