I love the Olympus M.Zuiko PRO lenses! When you hold an Olympus M.Zuiko PRO lens in your hand, you can tell straight away that you’re dealing with a first-class product. The Olympus M.Zuiko PRO lenses have it all – outstanding lens quality, excellent image quality, rapid and precise autofocus, and extremely high mechanical quality. The housing and bayonet are made from metal and sealed against dust, water and frost. A long-standing all-in-one product when combined with the OM-D models.
Let’s take the M.Zuiko 40-150mm F2.8 PRO lens as an example: Is there any other manufacturer with such a cool lens hood? We don’t think so! With other products, you have to detach the lens hood, turn it around and reattach it to the lens. All you have to do here is turn it slightly to the left and pull it back to make the lens small again. – “It’s magic!”
Switching between manual and autofocus works like magic – you just pull the lens ring forwards or backwards depending on the situation. Of course, the weight is also an advantage. The size of the sensor makes it possible to produce small, lightweight, compact and fast lenses.
The camera’s 5-axis image stabilisation and lens stabiliser allow you to take two-second freehand photos. This is where the OM-D really stands out, as this combination of stabilisation, with shutter speeds of two seconds and even above, is virtually unique to the industry. The autofocus also works brilliantly in the dark and focuses effortlessly.
I asked a good friend what he thought about the Olympus M.Zuiko PRO lens. This is what he said: “When I bought my first PRO lens, the Olympus M.Zuiko 7-14mm F2.8 PRO, in 2017, it opened up a lot of new doors for me in photography. This was primarily due to the extremely high technical level, which pushed the boundaries in terms of what was physically possible. The small focal length and large aperture combined with the excellent image definition in all parts of the image make it suitable for all kinds of situations. This means I can use the refined and compact lens for adventure tours, in extreme weather conditions, and for serious events alike.
I’d like to finish with this quotation:“A crowd will applaud a firework but not a sunrise. ” – Friedrich Hebbel
